Lindsey at Modem is amazing!  I moved to LA recently and couldn't find a good hairstylist/colorist to save me! I went to overpriced salons in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood and walked away frustrated and discouraged both times. I finally saw Lindsey, who was recommended by a friend, and   I absolutely LOVE her! Not only is she really, really kind, but she is incredibly gifted at her job. She is the opposite of pretentious, but is by far the best colorist I've ever seen...and I've seen a lot of them in some very prestigious salons. I would highly recommend her to anyone. I believe she's only been in LA about  2 years, but once the word gets out about her, I think she could easily be one of the most coveted colorists/stylists in LA.

Another good thing, I got full hi-lights about 10 weeks ago. Just the other day, a girlfriend I see several times a week asked me if I just got my hair done. For someone always struggling to look like I don't color my hair, I consider this compliment the sign of a very talented colorist.

cheese is my favorite! i cannot imagine a life without it. i am an addict. a cheese addict. on a trip to glasgow i once spent like $100 just in CHEESE. it was worth every penny. lately i'm into the 5 year aged gouda at the fairfax farmers market. yum!

WOW. the world without being connected at your fingertips! it's actually been really nice, although i'm starting to feel the panic a bit. what if someone's trying to get a hold of me? what if it's serious? computers are helpful, but not INSTANT. strange, but timely break from the mobile! try it out!

i think its true that we are all artists. i suggest this book if you need a little (or a whole lot) of help bringing it to life (or giving it a bigger life than it already has). i'm on week 5 out of this twelve week process. whoo wee.
